A native of the blue zone of Sardinia, Italy (one of the five areas in the world known for their high rate of centenarians and longest-living seniors) and a resident of Central NY for more than a decade, Stefano knows what positive impact nutritious food and companionship has for the elderly. Besides publishing and teaching literature at universities, he recently helped his and his wife’s grandmothers in their last years. As one of their caregivers, he became knowledgeable and sensitive to the dietary needs and restrictions necessary for a healthy diet for seniors. He learned to cook from his mom and grandma in Italy and he developed his skills in 20 years of cooking and attending classes at the Rouxbe Culinary School.
