Mike Filosa is an East Coast native who relocated to the Bay Area in 2007 with his family. He built his professional and personal life around the core value that his work must bring benefit to the human condition. After spending 30 years in management in Pharma/Bio Pharmaceuticals, he wanted to have a more direct impact on improving people’s lives.
Having grown up in a large Italian family, Mike knew the power good food and companionship has on one’s overall health and frame of mind. Mike also experienced the daily struggle of many of his older relatives living alone trying to maintain their best possible quality of life. Actively being involved with their care not only reinforced his drive to improve this situation for those to come, but how critical the need was.
He was deeply drawn to the Chefs for Seniors mission of “Improving Seniors’ Lives Through Food” and became passionate about establishing the first location in Northern California to bring this critically needed service to its Seniors. Joining the franchise provided Mike an opportunity to apply his personal passion to bring an incredibly well-defined national service to his local seniors, offering peace of mind to his clients as well as their family members.
Mike is now an “empty nester” with his three children grown and starting their own new lives. He has put together a team of incredible highly skilled and experienced, certified and insured Personal Chefs ready to provide invaluable companionship while preparing delicious and nutritious meals.
