Long time west valley couple, Michael and Reyna Bergmans both knew from a young age that they had a passion for culinary arts. Michael aspired to be a chef and Reyna a restaurant owner. Throughout Michael’s career, he could be found preparing meals and running several kitchens around the valley, as well as traveling the country cooking for various musicians and rock bands. If you want to find out who, you’ll have to talk to him. Some of Reyna’s fondest memories growing up were watching and helping her grandmother and aunt in the kitchen. This is where she gained her love for food and sharing it with others. Reyna spent the better part of her career in the hospitality, management, and the operations side of valley restaurants. As Michael’s career progressed, he found that managing senior communities and most importantly interacting, conversing, and connecting with the senior community gave him the same fulfillment he felt from cooking. He was able to build strong engaging relations through managing several retirement communities around the Valley.
Chefs for Seniors perfectly blends two of their passions, cooking delicious food and serving the local senior community. They are excited to continue their hospitality journey by opening a Chefs for Seniors franchise in Sun City and the surrounding areas. They are committed to making a difference in maintaining the healthy lives of seniors.
