With a background in clinical pharmacy, Shaneka has worked to teach her patients how to marry taste preferences with healthy cooking to improve their health. Shaneka has a love for meal planning and cooking, and she loves to use Chefs for Seniors as a vehicle to serve her local senior community.
Gagan and Dr. Shaneka Baylor were introduced to each other through the Chefs For Seniors franchise network. Over the years, they found their friendship and sisterhood grew, and so did their businesses in separate Chefs For Seniors territories.
Today, Gagan and Shaneka have partnered to own and serve the Chefs For Seniors Plano territory. They are committed to delivering personalized, nutritious meals tailored to older adults.
Gagan Sarkaria is a university professor turned businesswoman and is the first passionate franchise owner in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. Her entrepreneurial journey and passion for health and healing through good, nutritious food attracted her to start Chefs For Seniors North Texas in 2019.
With a strong emphasis on meal affordability and quality, Gagan ensures that each client enjoys delicious, nutritious meals that meet their specific dietary needs. Her dedication to enhancing the well-being of seniors through thoughtful nutrition makes her a valuable asset to the community. With ‘service’ as one of her primary love languages and ‘hope’ as one of her signature character strengths, Gagan finds fulfillment and joy in cooking food with love for her senior clients.
Gagan Sarkaria holds three college degrees — a BFA, an MFA, and an MBA. She is currently pursuing a PhD.
