Chef Michael Pakes’ interest in cooking healthy food and different cultures and cuisines began when he was a teen. After working in restaurants throughout high school and college, his career took him through positions in IT, healthcare, and management, but a love of good, wholesome food has been a constant in his life.
In 2012, he built a successful organic cafe and won the “Innovative Business of the Year Award” from his local Chamber of Commerce. Michael found he loves meeting new people and making them happy through his passion for delicious dishes. He sold his cafe after eight years and found Chefs for Seniors when looking for his next entrepreneurial challenge. He was immediately inspired by the company’s mission and values.
Now, through affordable “personal chef” services in the South San Jose and Monterey Bay areas, Michael is having fun, meeting seniors and older adults, and bringing delicious, nutritional dishes to Los Gatos, San Jose, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Hollister, Salinas, Seaside, Monterey, Pebble Beach and the surrounding areas.
