Sun Sentinel says: "You have no idea how much of a lifesaver you are"

I'm thrilled to post this article the Sun Sentinel just wrote about us highlighting two of our South Florida chefs and several of our new clients who we are honored to serve. You can also check out the video they made here.

The article quotes several of our clients:

"Food fairies," [Arlene Sherman] called Wendy Rosner and Barrett Allman, private chefs for a newly created service called Chefs for Seniors, who were moving quickly about Sherman's kitchen, helping to snap her streak of eating takeout food...Before discovering Chefs for Seniors, Sherman typically ordered meals through delivery services or picked them up at Whole Foods Market.
For Catherine Tankersley, 68, Chefs for Seniors is more than a good idea.  It's a solution to her worries about how her 90-year old mother and husband with Parkinson's disease can feed themselves when she's off at work...  "You have no idea how much of a lifesaver you are," Tankersley told Carol Manfredonia, her chef for the day

Serving the South Florida community is personally important to me as I grew up in the area and I saw first hand how hard it is to eat healthy meals at home. Despite the many services available, it is still hard to get fresh, affordable food that can accommodate individual dietary needs and taste good.  That is what our chefs deliver and we are so excited to be able to do that in South Florida.

Thanks to the Sun Sentinel for helping get the word out about our mission to help older adults eat healthy meals at home!
